What a dental practice website has to answer
Someone searching for a dentist has usually already decided they need one. The site is deciding whether it is you.
Whether you are taking new patients
The single most common reason someone leaves a practice website. If the answer is yes it needs to be visible without scrolling; if it is no for NHS but yes for private, say exactly that.
What you accept and roughly what it costs
NHS bands, private fees, any plan or membership scheme you run. Patients compare on this before they compare on anything else, and a page that stays silent reads as expensive.
How to get seen in pain, today
Emergency and same-day appointments are a different journey from a routine check-up. That path needs its own line and a phone number, not a contact form buried under a treatments menu.
The treatments you actually offer
Hygienist, whitening, implants, orthodontics, childrens dentistry — listed plainly. This is also what people type into search, so it is what brings them to you in the first place.
That you are used to nervous patients
A large share of adults put off dental appointments out of anxiety. A practice that says so, and says what it does about it, converts people other practices never hear from.
Most dental enquiries start with a search and end with a phone call
The pattern is consistent: someone searches for a dentist near them, opens two or three practice sites, and phones the one that answered their question fastest. Very little of that decision happens on a booking form. It happens on whether the site made it obvious that this practice takes new patients, is reachable, and does the thing they need.
That is why a dental site does not need to be elaborate. It needs to be clear, load quickly on a phone, and put the phone number and the new-patient answer where someone in a hurry will see them. Practices lose enquiries to layout far more often than to design.
Leapd writes the site from your description with that order of priority already applied, and sets up a business email address at the same time so enquiries that do arrive in writing land somewhere that looks like a practice rather than a personal inbox.
How it works
Describe the business
What you do, who for, and where. A couple of sentences is enough; the more specific you are, the more specific the site is.
Pick a name
Choose from names generated around your description, or type the one you already trade under.
Leapd builds and publishes it
The site goes live on your own leapd.app address and your business email address is set up at the same time.
What free covers
The site and the business email address are built for you, and stay up.
A paid plan is for growing from there: expanding the site with more pages and features, pointing a domain you own at it, and putting Leapd to work on bringing people to it — ads, posts in your voice, outreach and AI search visibility. There is no watermark to buy your way out of and no trial clock.
Questions
- Can patients book appointments through the site?
- The free build gives you a site that presents the practice and routes people to phone or email you — it does not connect to a practice management system. If you already use online booking software, linking it in — or adding a fuller booking section — comes with a paid plan.
- Is a free dental website going to look generic?
- It is written from what you tell us about the practice — the treatments, the patient mix, the hours — rather than assembled from a stock dental template. The more specific your description, the less generic the result.
- What about GDPR and patient information?
- The site is a public-facing practice website: who you are, what you offer, how to reach you. It does not collect or store patient records, so it is not handling clinical data. Anything involving patient information should stay in your practice management system.
- We already have a practice website. Is this useful?
- If the existing one works, probably not — this builds a new site from scratch on a leapd.app address. It is aimed at a new practice, an associate going out on their own, or a practice whose site has quietly stopped being accurate.
